Crystal Cruises said its first expedition yacht, the Crystal
Endeavor, is now expected to launch in 2020.
Crystal announced the new timing at a steel-cutting ceremony
for the ship at the MV Werften shipyard in Straslund, Germany.
Last fall, company officials said they expected the
200-passenger luxury expedition vessel to arrive in late 2019.
KT Lim, chairman of Crystal's parent company, Genting Hong
Kong, said that 20 million euros (about $24.5 million) had been invested in new
equipment at the shipyard for future projects. Crystal has stated plans for two
more of the expedition yachts, along with other vessels.
